David Miller
Summary of skills and experience:
- David has over 15 years VAT specialist experience.
- Served 12 with H M Customs and Excise, 7 of which were directly involved in all areas of VAT including visiting businesses to deal with specific issues, general assurance visiting and investigation work.
- The remaining 5 were spent working in HMCE’s Inland Customs in particular verifying import declarations and providing advice to businesses who were taking advantage of HMCE’s many Customs facilitation schemes
- Joined Barnard Atkins in 1999 and is responsible for providing specialist VAT advisory services to businesses to comply with and obtain the best results from VAT legislation.
- Has advised a broad range of businesses on many complex VAT(& Customs Duty) areas including all aspects of International Trade both within and outside the EU and both goods and services, Land & Property and general VAT advisory services including VAT system reviews
- Has specific responsibility for marketing and business development
- Specialist areas include International Trade and Land & Property
- David is a keen rambler and a fan of sport generally although he has a particular interest in Rugby League and specifically follows St Helens RLFC
